This year Miss Brown will be working with us to help us work towards our Eco-Schools Silver Award. We already have an assembly booked with Severn Trent Water to help us all learn about saving water. They are they going to meet with us afterwards to share more information on how we can save water in and around school and will be showing us how to do an audit.
Congratulations to Felix, Alex and Aemil who won our ‘Save Water’ competition. We had lots of entries and were very pleased with the posters. Thank you to everyone who entered.

Towards the end of the autumn term we started to draw up an action plan for litter with Mrs Haltof. We will be continuing this throughout the Spring term with Miss Brown.
We have now completed our greenhouse which has been erected next to the garden beds and shed. We are looking forward to planting some seeds and tomatoes in the Spring. If anyone is interested in helping to run a Gardening Club please speak to Mrs Maher or the office.
BBC RADIO LEICESTER 104.9
Following our article in the Lutterworth Mail last week we were contacted by BBC Radio Leicester who were keen to talk to the children about the greenhouse. Bridget arrived on Tuesday with her microphone and recorder and spoke to four children as well as Mrs Maher. Bridget was very impressed. The interview was transmitted on the breakfast show on Thursday which you can hear here
